RECOGNITION OF HUMAN ACTIVITY
Buildings account for 44% of energy consumption in France (!). It is easy to understand that the energy efficiency of buildings is a crucial issue. With this in mind, Schneider called on the Neovision activity recognition technology. The aim is to deduce an activity based on the posture of the people present. Depending on the activity recognised, the automated BMS adapts the use of the various equipment to reduce or smooth out consumption.
FALL DETECTION
Every year in France, around 10,000 people die as a result of a fall that is treated too late. The challenge is therefore to detect this fall and to alert people as quickly as possible. With its activity characterisation technology, Neovision is able to recognise a person who has fallen, either via infrared or RGB images. Once a fall is detected, an alert is automatically sent to the next of kin who can confirm the problem via the camera.
DETECTION AND COUNTING OF PEOPLE
By coupling our activity characterisation technology, an infrared sensor and STMicroelectronics hardware, it became possible to create a technology for detecting and counting humans. This technology, which operates in real time, allows for the detection and counting of humans while preserving their privacy. Indeed, it is not possible to recognise a person on low resolution infrared images. This is a good way to combine statistical research and analysis with respect for privacy.
MONITORING OF ACTIVITY ON A CONSTRUCTION SITE
How do you know the average traffic or the time slots where activity is highest? Most metrics come from Google or from statistics related to recorded sales. But what about people who don’t have smartphones and don’t buy anything? Similarly, how do you monitor activity in a place like a construction site? Enlaps’ Tikee solution integrates the Neovision activity characterisation technology to detect and qualify the activity captured
on timelapses.
ATTENTION ANALYSIS
How can you analyse the impact of your communication actions? How do you know which media, which elements or which demos have had the greatest impact? These questions are all the truer for events and trade shows. With our activity characterisation technology, you can count and track visitors to your stands. You can even see how long they spent on each element of your stand and measure their attention and interest.
PEDESTRIAN DETECTION AND TRACKING
The autonomous vehicle, a product of all kinds of fears and fantasies. Neovision is contributing to R&D on this innovation with its activity characterisation technology. By merging RGB and infrared images, it is possible to distinguish humans, regardless of the weather and light conditions. The Neovision technology is able to detect and track the movement of pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles. And it does so as accurately and quickly as possible!
